For 100 DKK a year (amounting to 8.33 DKK a month), you can help permanently change lives in rural Bangladesh by:

  • Fighting social injustice and gender inequality
  • Providing crucial education to women and other marginalised groups
  • Empowering women and other marginalised groups to organise and make their voices heard
  • Putting an end to the outdated and illegal practice of child marriage in rural communities

There are two ways to become a member.

The simplest way is to send 100 DKK via MobilePay to the following number: 14956. In the message field, please add your name and e-mail address so we can link your payment to you and keep you informed about our work.

You can also wire 100 DKK through your bank to the account below. As with the MobilePay option, be sure to add your name and e-mail address in the message field.

Account No. 5498 792 237

Reg. No. 2331

Once we receive your payment, we will send you a confirmation e-mail. We will also send you a reminder when it is time to pay next year's fee, which is of course completely voluntary.

Your membership donation allows us to fund the formation of so-called Gono Kendras, or people's centres.

Once a Gono Kendra has been set up, the members (primarily women, but also other discriminated/socially vulnerable groups such as Christians, Hindus or disabled people) pool their resources together to sustain the group, institute savings programmes, learn about their rights and vocational skills and organise at the community level to ensure their voices are finally heard.

Each Gono Kendra is completely self-sustaining once it has been set up, meaning your donation never goes to the same person or group twice. It's about giving people the basic opportunities they need to finally break the cycle of poverty and permanently change their lives - and their children's lives - in the process.

Bandhab is a 100% volunteer-driven organisation. This means that the 100% of the revenue we receive goes into funding our development activities in Bangladesh and fundraising/member-related events in Denmark.
